    Description

    California artist Chuck Oberstein ,1935-2002, is best know for his clown images. He was also a well respected portrait artist and shows his talent in this wonderful portrait of John Wayne with his cowboy hat firmly in place. It is done in pencil with a little white gouache in places for accent. It is painted on a thin artboard, cardboard. It is signed in pencil on the front and then carries his stamp "Reproduction rights reserved by Artist Chuck Oberstein". signed again and the "442" in a circle. This measures 20" X 16".
