Star Stream
is a rare find new in box, not displayed and measures approx. 5" tall by 5" wide, weighing about 2lbs. it is correctly signed along one of the star's ribs. Included is a 5" diameter Steuben black leather topped display base (this is the correct size base for this design, a 4" diameter size is too small.)  This will be packed in it's new Steuben box with new flannel bag and Steuben care booklet all free of stains or odors.  Ready for gift giving!  This is an authentic hand made in USA at the Steuben glassworks in Corning NY piece.  This authentic 10M formula Steuben Crystal was purchased before the glassworks was torn down in 2012.  It is not a Corning Museum reproduction or offshore made FOR Steuben piece.
Steuben was noted for their rigorous attention to detail and for the high quality of their glass. They stated in their literature that they did not market "seconds" and noted that such pieces were destroyed in house. Steuben Glass was founded by Frederick Carder in 1903 and was located in the Fingerlakes region of central New York. By following strict standards for design and manufacture they were regarded as the world's premier glassworks. Steuben Glass was frequently a gift of State by US Presidents to foreign dignitaries. Steuben is a recognized luxury brand. A well maintained handmade Steuben collectible is likely to increase in value over time.
