is a rare find new in box, not displayed and measures approx. 8" tall by 3" wide, weighing about 2lbs. it is correctly signed on the base bottom.  This will be packed in it's fine Steuben box with flannel bag and Steuben care booklet all free of stains or odors.  Ready for gift giving!  This is an authentic hand made in USA at the Steuben glassworks in Corning NY piece.
Steuben was noted for their rigorous attention to detail and for the high quality of their glass. They stated in their literature that they did not market "seconds" and noted that such pieces were destroyed in house. Steuben Glass was founded by Frederick Carder in 1903 and was located in the Fingerlakes region of central New York. By following strict standards for design and manufacture they were regarded as the world's premier glassworks. Steuben Glass was frequently a gift of State by US Presidents to foreign dignitaries. Steuben is a recognized luxury brand. A well maintained handmade Steuben collectible is likely to increase in value over time.
