Seated in the lotus position, a symbol of FORTITUDE, the Lord of Beginnings.  Only in production for a very brief time, so very few were made.  From every angle light radiates throughout this cheerful design.     This Ganesha is in superb new/undisplayed condition.  This Steuben design measures approx. 2" wide by 3" tall, with the sparkling clarity of Steuben crystal. It is signed "Steuben" in block lettering style on the base bottom edge. T

    Steuben Glass was founded by Frederick Carder in 1903.  Renown as the world's foremost artisan glass house, Steuben glass was hand made by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY.  Steuben glass was frequently the United States’ gift of State to foreign dignitaries. Steuben marketed no “seconds," items that did not meet their exacting production standards were destroyed by being smashed in a bin. Steuben--a recognized luxury brand.
