Optifoam Adhesive Foam Dressing
4in x 4in with 2.5 in x 2.5 in pad
* Optifoam’s waterproof, polyurethane backing helps maintain an optimally moist wound environment, helps prevent strike-through, and aids in the prevention of bacterial contamination of the wound.
* Backing’s moisture vapor transmission rate adjusts depending on the fluid level in the wound
* Foam pad has micropores for low adherence to wound surface, yet has an extremely higher fluid-handling capacity than other brands.
* Medline Optifoam Adhesive Foam is an all-in-one dressing made up of specially designed foam which helps minimize the chances of granulation tissue migrating into the foam.
* It's waterproof outer layer helps prevent strike through and aids in the prevention of bacterial contamination of the wound. Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) of Optifoam Dressing adjusts depending on the fluid level in the wound.
* Indications: pressure ulcers, partial and full-thickness wounds, leg ulcers, donor sites, lacerations and abrasions, skin tears, and first- and second-degree burns. Contraindications: third-degree burns and lesions with active vasculitis.
* May be left in place for up to 7 days; Dressing change frequency will depend on amount of drainage.
* Also resists roll-up for longer wear.
