Vault.
This is the Gladiator "Spartacus" with Spikes.
Only 5 of these final Spartacus versions were made in Polished Aluminum.
It has all the features of the 2015 Gladiator Slave:
Stainless Steel cap screws around the rim face.
Small flats on the outer rim diameter to reduce weight.
Relief groove in the string gap around the response pads for string clearance and reduced weight.
The design machined in the face was visually enhanced, and also done to reduce center weight to improve rim weight ratio.
And unlike the 3/8" diameter hub post and Spikes on the prototypes, the diameter on these final "Spartacus" versions are 5/16" bringing it down to the weights listed below for each optional setup.
Weight without O-rings and Pogs = 65.5 grams.
Weight with 4 O-rings = 69 grams.
Weight with 4 O-rings and Pogs = 75.5 grams.

History:
After the Gladiator Slave was released, the idea was to redesign the hub with a straight through axle.
This was so the Spikes could be screwed on for the Spartacus version.
There would be 2 different pogs, one with a center hole, and one without.
There would be Spikes, and optional short Flat cap that could also be screwed onto the straight through axle.
This offered the option to use the Spikes or the Flat Cap.
And the option to use pogs with the hole for the Spikes.
Or pogs without the hole for the Flat cap.
In the end it was too time consuming and the custom parts were not cost effective.
So the few parts were put aside until recently resurrected with a simple design.
