The Mega SpinFaktor 2.2 by YoYoJam is a variant of the original SpinFaktor, released as the first signature series yo-yo of Rick Wyatt in 2003. This is one of the limited edition marbled multicolor Mega SpinFaktor 2.2, of which only 100 were ever produced. Each one was made in a different marbled color scheme, so that no two yo-yos were alike.
The Mega SpinFaktor 2.2 has bronze weight rings to ensure that most of the weight is concentrated at the edges maximizing long sleep times. As with the original Mega SpinFaktor, the MSF 2.2 was made specifically to break long sleeper records, but is also usable for string tricks. It has heavier weight rings making for even longer sleep times. The MSF 2.2 had no response system, relying only on the molding dimples. Rick Wyatt used this model to set a 14 minutes 3 seconds sleeper record at the 2003 World Yo-Yo Contest.
This limited edition marbled Mega SpinFaktor 2.2 is in excellent shape. Many YoYoJam yo-yos from the mid-2000s have suffered from cracks appearing on the plastic hubs but this limited edition Mega SpinFaktor 2.2 has no visible cracks. The marbled colors produce brilliant swirls of red, blue and yellow against the white plastic. One side cap on this yo-yo is clear and sharp with gold lettering and the other side cap is missing. This yo-yo initially came with a ceramic bearing and I think that’s what’s inside this one but I’m not 100% sure. Only 100 of this marbled model were ever produced. It is a true gem from YoYoJam and is in amazing shape for it’s age.
