    his 5 gram 24 karat pure [0.9999 fine] gold bar was minted by the American Precious Metals Exchange Mint [APMEX] in Oklahoma City, OK. Gold bars are minted in weights ranging from less than a grain [15th of a Troy oz.] to kilos. The rising popularity of fractional gold pieces like this 5 gram bar stems from the fact that incremental gold bars make gold ownership affordable for most families. It is a nice feeling having some gold socked away safely, and while buying smaller pieces means higher overall "premiums" [prices above gold spot], cost averaging over many years compensates for those premiums. This 5 gram bar is secured in a Tamper Evident Package [TEP], and contains multiple anti-counterfeiting features. It is protected by a cellophane sleeve attached to a Golden Life Card [See photo].
